Amran: Members Of the Commission,The State, And The HOR Filed A Case Against The Amendments By The HOR

Member of the Founding Commission for the drafting of the constitution, Nadia Amran, on Saturday, said that some members of the Commission and the House of Representatives and the State filed an appeal for the session of the HOR before the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court, and that the verdict is pending.

In a statement to ArraedLg, Amran explained that the appeal made for a session of the House of Representatives, which amended the tenth and eleventh amendment, noting that the amendment did not comply with the legal requirements, according to her words.

Amran added that the purpose of the appeal in the tenth amendment is to drop the second article, which divides Libya into three three circles, and imposes a ratio of 50 + 1 in each constituency.

On November 26, the House of Representatives (HOR) approved the tenth constitutional amendment, in addition to Article 6 of the referendum law. Article 6 provides for the organization of the referendum on three constituencies, provided that each department receives 50%.
