Al-Sarraj Reopens Al-Sharara Oilfield

President of the #PC, Faiz Al-Sarraj, reopened Al-Sharara oilfield after meeting with representatives of the “#Fazan Anger” movement and the security and military leaders in the field of Obari.

During the meeting, Al-Sarraj expressed his understanding of the reasons for the protest and the demands that he considered “legitimate rights,” stressing the right of citizens to express their views peacefully, while rejecting any source that would risk the Libyan income source or vital country facilities.

Al-Sarraj said that political failure and the preoccupation of politicians with conflict, quarrels, and auctions are a major cause of the economy and security crisis; the issues are interrelated, and the negative impact is not confined to the south, he added, explaining to the participants what measures and mechanisms of action were taken to improve facilities services in the south and providing the needs of citizens in the framework of the national campaign to save the south as it were announced mid-last month.

The head of the Presidential Council, Faiz Al-Sarraj arrived Wednesday to the field of spark oil accompanied by a delegation including the Minister of Local Government and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company and Commander of the Guard installations and a number of security and military leaders.
