Belkhair: The Electoral Commission Is Executive And Is Far Away From Any Political Conflict

A member of the Governing Council of the Electoral Commission, Abdel Hakim Belkhair, on Saturday, said that the Commission’s role is executive, and it is far away from any political conflict, and it will continue to implement its plan for the elections.

In a statement to ArraedLg, he said that the Electoral Commission is not a party to any differences between the Supreme Council of the State and the House of Representatives, stressing that they are in the implementation of the stages of the elections as it is imposed unless the judiciary intervened or a legislative body to stop them.

Belkhair stressed that the Commission and has maintained its unity away from the political conflict and division throughout the past period, which is trying to work at at the present time.

The Supreme Council of State, last Thursday,  expressed in a statement its surprise by the acceptance of the law of the referendum on the constitution, although it is still in circulation.
