Sharafuddin: The Amendments Of The HOR Is Incompatible With What Had Been Agreed With The Supreme State

Member of the Supreme Council of State Najat Sharafuddin, on Monday, said that the recent constitutional amendments by the House of Representatives (HOR) were not required and that it is a violation to the agreement of the House of Representatives and the State.

Sharafuddin revealed that the Council of State did not formally receive the decisions of the House of Representatives, and the information that had reached the Council is news and leaks only, indicating that the eleventh amendment was not on the agenda of the last session of the Council of Representatives, according to her words.

Sharafuddin was surprised by the inclusion of the second article by the House of Representatives, which states that other members from the political agreement are illegitimate and that the council was not notified of the agreement between the two councils regarding the amendment of the executive authority.

Sharafuddin explained that the Supreme Council of the State will hold a meeting, next Wednesday, to discuss the views of its committees on the subject of amendments by the House of Representatives.

The House of Representatives ratified last Monday, the tenth and eleventh amendment to the constitutional declaration, and the fortification of Article VI law of the referendum on the Constitution.
