Jordan’s King Abdullah II affirmed his country’s support for the efforts aimed at reaching a political solution in Libya, in order to achieve security and stability in it and a better future for Libyans.
King Abdullah praised the efforts exerted by Al-Sarraj to achieve security and stability in Libya, according to the Jordanian News Agency.
The agency added that the two sides agreed to make efforts to take advantage of the promising opportunities to develop levels of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of investment, trade exchange, medical tourism, higher education and security coordination, in addition to forming joint committees to discuss a number of files related to areas of cooperation, and the Libyan investment portfolio in Jordan.
From his side, Al-Serraj explained that Libya will start through its embassy in Amman to pay the debts owed to Jordanian hospitals, which had provided medical care and treatment to Libyan citizens, and he expressed appreciation for the efforts of King Abdullah II and Jordan to stand by Libya.
The Jordanian media has indicated the commitment of the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, to pay $ 220 million of the volume of Libyan debt to Jordanian hospitals.
