Italy: There is No Disagreement With France Over the Stability of Libya

Italian Foreign Minister “Enzo Moavero Milanesi” denied the existence of a dispute with France on the stability and democracy in Libya.

In an interview with the Corriere Della Sera newspaper, on Thursday, Moavero said he saw no disruptions in the French position on the common goal with his country over Libya.

Moavero explained that it is natural that both Italy and France try to play a bigger role in Libya, noting that the competition between countries is normal even in an integrated framework such as the European Union system.

The French Foreign Ministry called during a conference of foreign ministers of the European Union, last Monday, to translate the commitments that resulted from the meeting of the Libyan parties in Palermo last week.
