The head of the central sector of the Coast Guard, Tawfiq Skeeb, on Wednesday, said that the evacuation mission of the cargo ship “Niven”, which was held by illegal immigrants in Misrata, was carried out accurately without obstacles after it had been ordered to break into it.
In a statement to ArraedLg, Skeeb explained that the raid came after the migrants refused to negotiate with their embassies and diplomatic missions of their countries, stressing that they had negotiated with them to get off the ship, but they did not respond.
Skeeb said that some of the migrants tried to resist the security men, and the security men treated them without causing serious injuries.
