Sharafuddin: Our Vision in Palermo is to End the Transition on Constitutional Grounds

Member of the Supreme Council of State Najat Sharafuddin, on Monday, said that the Council’s vision at the Palermo conference is to reach an end to the transitional stages on constitutional grounds, and there is no alternative to dialogue to resolve the political division in Libya.

In a statement to ArraedLg, Sharaf al-Din stated that the delegation of the Supreme State during his participation in the economic file of the conference said that the political division and the associated division in the sovereign institutions led to abuses have had repercussions on the Libyan economy.

Sharafuddin added that the delegation stressed in its participation on the necessity of commitment of the government of Al-Wefaq and the Central Bank of Libya to accelerate the completion of the implementation of economic treatments, and the need to follow up and review these procedures to ensure the desired results.

The Palermo conference, which is organized by Italy with the United Nations Mission in Libya, was launched on Monday.
