A Security Source from Al-Jufra: ISIS Negotiates the Extradition of Abductees from Al-Fogha

A security source from Al-Jafra municipality, on Wednesday, reported that he received a “single” call from a member of ISIS demanding the extradition of their members who were arrested near the area of Al-Fogha in exchange for releasing the citizens who were kidnapped by the organization from the same area.

In a statement to ArraedLg, the source, who preferred not to be named, said that a call was made between a member of the branch of the Council of Jurists and a member of the organization confirmed to him that the abductees are alive and “well”, according to the source.

In October, security forces arrested a prominent leader of the organization, Juma Al-Garagei, and his companion Ali Abdul Ghani Al-Fituri, in the Haruj Mountains near the city of Al-Fogha.

ISIS attacked the area of Al-Fogha and killed 4 people, and kidnapped 11 others, in response to the arrest of their members.
