Member of the Supreme Council of the State Abdul Rahman Al-Shater, described the insistence of members of both Houses of Representatives (HOR) and the State on the re-formation of the executive branch and their nomination of members of the two Houses to take up positions in it as an “open aggression” on the principle of powers separation.
On his official account on Twitter, Al-Shater, on Sunday, called political elites and institutions of the international community to resist this “dangerous deviation,” as he put it.
The Speaker of the House Dialogue Committee, Abdulsalam Nasee, announced on Monday that the House of Representatives and the State had agreed to restructure the executive branch.
