GECOL finishes maintenance of Hadba & Ain Zara circuit

The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Monday the completion of maintenance work in Hadba and Ain Zara circuit 220KV, in the area of ​​Salah Al-Din, which was damaged as a result of the armed clashes in Tripoli.

GECOL media office director, Mohamed Al-Takouri said in a statement to ArraedLG, the maintenance included a 400-meter-long wiring between the 13 and 14 towers and 150 meters between the 17 and 18 towers and the installation of a new wing, which is an important source of energy transfer.

The General Electricity Company announced last Thursday, complete blackout in the southern and western regions, after the collapse of the entire electrical grid.
