Fire controlled at Zelten oil field

Sirt Oil Company announced that it had taken control of a fire that broke out in Zelten oil field.

A source from the field told Reuters on Saturday that one employee was injured in the fire, which was caused by leakage at a field treatment plant.

 

In December last year, the Zelten field witnessed the death of a Libyan employee and two Sudanese workers and another Libyan injured as a result of a leak of hydrogen sulfide gas.
