2nd meeting in Zawiya to discuss cease-fire agreement in Tripoli

Zawiya mayor, Jamal Bahr confirmed on Saturday that the city will host, on Sunday, the second meeting between the fighting parties south of Tripoli to discuss the latest developments in the truce, and put a mechanism to put a final end to clashes.

Bahr in a statement to ArraedLG said the truce agreement signed last Monday is going strong, asserting that the fighting parties are seeking reconciliation and have no desire to return to weapons again.

On 4 September, Zawiya hosted a meeting of military leaders, dignitaries and sheikhs, led by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), in which the participants reached a ceasefire agreement between the conflicting parties in Tripoli.
