GNA: 2395 families displaced from areas of clashes in Ain Zara

The Ministry of Displacement in the Government of National Accord (GNA) estimated the number of displaced persons from the areas of clashes in Ain Zara municipality to 2395 families since 27 August 2018.

The Ministry said in a report on Wednesday that 95% of the families fled to their relatives, 200 of whom to Garabulli, 375 to Tarhuna, 140 to Bani Walid, more than 75 to Tajura, 280 to Hai Al-Andalus, 78 to Al-Swani, 45 to Al-Aziziya and 20 families to Al-Zahra.

The report pointed out that aid was distributed to 60 families in the areas of Khallet Al-Furjan, Hai Al-Zuhour, Al-Bal street, Fatima Al-Zahra and 95 families in Hadi Arafa and Badr Martyrs schools, noting that 60% of Ain Zara IDPs went to the municipalities of Greater Tripoli, Zliten, Misurata and Khoms.

The area south of Tripoli is witnessing armed clashes between the forces of Tripoli Military Area, and the Seventh Brigade, which resulted in the deaths and injuries among civilians and the displacement of many families.
