The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday that violence in southern Tripoli has killed 50 people and wounded more than 125, who need urgent medical care.
The Organization said on its official page that the situation is still volatile, pointing out reports of attacks on some health care facilities, including a physical therapy center in Ain Zara, which was partially damaged by a random shell.
WHO added that it had sent 10 emergency teams that include doctors and paramedics, with essential medicines and medical equipment, to areas where fighting continues.
The international organization said teams visited schools and other places where displaced people were looking for shelters to find out about additional health needs.
The field hospital in Tripoli appealed on Friday to the Ministry of Health and international and local humanitarian organizations to intervene and assist in the relief of civilians whose homes were hit directly.
