Italian Minister: We will consider Egypt’s role in Libya

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Economic Development, Luigi de Mayo said that Italy will take into account the Egyptian role in the Libyan file.

De Mayo said in a press statement on Wednesday that relations with Egypt would represent another chance for stability in Libya, according to AKI new agency.

He added that Italy is preparing to hold a conference in Rome on Libya, and that it is trying to involve all actors that can have an active part in Libya.

Italy plans to hold an international conference on Libya next fall after the failure of the Paris conference, where presidential and parliamentary elections are to be held before the end of this year.
