Still no Electricity in Tawergha, says mayor

The head of Tawergha local council, Abdul Rahman Shakshak said on Saturday that electricity is still out inside the city, despite the electricity company’s work.

Shakshak said in a statement to ArraedLG, the Council was able to establish a field hospital in the city to provide basic health services.

The mayor stressed that the Council seeks to limit the damage within the city, indicating that the security conditions are good, and no violations were recorded.

The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced, this August, the start of the implementation of the first phase of the restoration of electricity to the city of Tawergha.
