Ashour reassures South Korea of ​​the imminent release of its kidnapped citizen in Libya

The Government of National Accord (GNA) Interior Minister, Abdul Salam Ashour said he had informed South Korean Foreign Minister, Johan Pike of a breakthrough in the kidnapping of the Korean national and his three Filipino companions in Libya.

Ashour confirmed, according to the official website of the ministry, to the Korean envoy, that the kidnapping incident is the subject of constant attention and follow-up by the Libyan authorities and all security services affiliated to it.

The minister stressed that this incident should not be a stumbling block in return for the return of Korean companies to work in Libya, and move the economic file between the two friendly countries.
