Al-Sarraj: CBL will handle the exchange rate and fuel subsidies

The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Faiz Al-Sarraj said the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) will handle the dinar exchange rate and fuel subsidies to avoid the legal debate on the implementation of economic reforms.

Al-Sarraj said during a meeting with Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Hillary Adams that he has called for such reforms for more than two years to correct distortions in the monetary and economic situations.

The High Council of State (HCS) committee for the Development of Economic and Social Projects chairman, Mohamad Takala told ArraedLG last Wednesday that the economic reforms and legal frameworks for economic reforms are ready, and we “do not know why the head of the Presidential Council has not signed it yet?”
