PC & UNSMIL agree on the need for a sound constitutional basis for elections

The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Faiz Al-Sarraj and the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Ghassan Salame agreed on the need for a sound constitutional basis for the upcoming elections.

Al-Sarraj said during his meeting with Salame and his political affairs deputy, Stephanie Williams, economic reforms will be implemented in the near future, adding that he is currently studying measures that limit their negative impact.

The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Faiz Al-Sarraj said in a press statement that it is necessary to find alternative solutions to find a sound constitutional base away from the House of Representatives (HOR) after the delay in the issuance of the referendum law on the Constitution.
