Salame & Tunisian FM discuss preparations for elections in Libya

Tunisian Foreign Minister, Khemaies Jhinaoui discussed with UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame the political developments in Libya and preparations for the presidential and legislative elections.

The ministry said on its official website on Tuesday that Jhinaoui reviewed the latest developments, contacts and talks with the Libyan parties and expressed his desire to overcome the stalemate in the political settlement process in Libya.

The Foreign Minister stressed the importance of working to unify international efforts to accelerate the creation of conditions for the Libyan parties to hold legislative and presidential elections.

Tunisian Foreign Minister, Khemaies Jhinaoui visited Tripoli and Benghazi and met with political parties as part of Tunisia’s efforts to help resolve the Libyan crisis.
