HCS & PC looking into the latest political and economic developments

The president of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mashri discussed with the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Faiz Al-Sarraj on Tuesday the latest developments in the political and economic situation in the country.

In his meeting with Al-Sarraj, Al-Mashri discussed the economic reform plan expected to be implemented soon, which aims to support stability, in coordination with the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) and other concerned parties.

The meeting, which was attended by First Vice-President of the HCS Naji Mukhtar, discussed the situation in the South and the measures taken by the Government of National Accord (GNA) to solve the bottlenecks in public facilities and provide the basic needs of citizens.

The two parties agreed on the importance of respecting the democratic process and conducting presidential and parliamentary elections on a sound constitutional basis, stressing the need to unify state institutions.

The Presidential Council is expected to approve a number of economic reforms according to a timetable to lift the suffering of Libyans.
