Italian Defense Minister, Elisabetta Trenta described the holding of the elections before the completion of the comprehensive reconciliation in Libya as a “mistake” that will restore problems again.
“The monopoly of power must be in the hands of the state,” the minister said, referring to the head of the Presidential Council, Faiz Al-Saraj.
The head of the PC demanded on Tuesday, during his meeting with the minister, Italy to support Libya’s request to lift the arms embargo partially, to equip a force to fight terrorism, and support oil installations guards and presidential guard.
