Italian Defense Minister, Elisabetta Trenta is discussing issues of illegal migration, counter-terrorism and joint defense and security cooperation with officials of the Government of National Accord (GNA).
Trenta said in a press statement on Tuesday, she would discuss with Libyan officials the details of the plan drawn up by Italian Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini and endorsed by the Italian-Libyan Committee in Tripoli in early July.
The visit of Italian Defense Minister, Elisabetta Trenta is the first to Libya since she took office in June, and the third minister in the new Italian government to visit Libya in a month.
