Ras Ajdir border crossing between Libya & Tunisia still closed

Ras Ajdir border crossing port with Tunisia director, Brigadier Abdel Salam Al-Omrani said on Saturday the closure of the port from the Libyan side is still ongoing, becaused of Tunisian protesters preventing Libyan travelers from passing through to Tunisia.

Al-Omrani added that the Libyan authorities have taken the decision to close the port to ensure the safety of Libyan travelers, stressing that the Government of National Accord (GNA) Interior Ministry was informed of the issues occurring within the Tunisian territory.

Tunisian protesters closed the road this July in the face of Libyan travelers heading to protest the Libyan authorities’ ban on smuggling.
