Marine mine discovered in Sirte

The Mines Division of the Protection and Security of Sirte spokesperson, Salem Al-Amil said on Saturday that members of the division found a marine mine in the industrial zone and would safely detonate it in the near future.

The division’s members moved to the place after a citizen informed them of a suspicious object, according to Al-Amil.

Al-Amil also said another mine detonated at the city’s clinic complex, pointing out that the explosion occurred when a citizen tried to remove the rubble of a building destroyed by the war, the bulldozer hit the rubble with the mine, stressing that the damage was only minimal.

The Mines Division in Sirte works to remove the mines left by ISIS.
