Italy’s Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Peroni said that “solid” and correct constitutional foundation and the appropriate security climate are crucial factors for holding transparent elections that will enhance stability in Libya.
In a meeting with the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Faiz Al-Saraj, ambassadors of major countries and UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, Peroni discussed the political process within the framework of the UN mission’s plan, describing the debate as “constructive.”
On Wednesday, Al-Sarraj met with ambassadors and representatives of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, China, the UN envoy and the European Union representative.
