158 migrants rescued off the coast of Khoms

The Libyan Coast Guard rescued on Monday 158 illegal migrants off the coast of Khoms city, east of Tripoli.

The Libyan navy spokesperson, Brigadier General Ayoub Qassem told ArraedLG the immigrants are of different African nationalities and include 9 children and 34 women, who were on board a rubber boat, 26 miles north of the city.

Last week, the Coast Guard retrieved 6 bodies of illegal immigrants and rescued 125 others off the coast of Garabulli.
