UNSMIL welcomes resumption of oil exports under supervision of NOC

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) welcomed the resumption and regular export of oil production under the authority of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA).

The Mission, on its official website on Wednesday, confirmed its readiness to work with the Libyan people, Libyan institutions and all parties concerned to reach a fair and equitable distribution of the country’s natural resources, and to achieve greater transparency in the management of the country’s funds.

The National Oil Corporation announced on Wednesday the lifting of force majeure from the oil ports and the resumption of the oil exports after the loss of nearly one billion dollars, because of the closure by Haftar Forces.
