Italy will provide patrol boats to help Libya rescue migrants

Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Danilo Tunnelelli said on Tuesday that his country will provide Libya with patrol boats to assist the Libyan Coast Guard in the search and rescue of migrants at sea.

The Italian minister said, there is an Italian-Libyan project with aims to strengthen the management of search and rescue operations at sea, adding that Italy is waiting for the response of the Libyan side on what they need to carry out their tasks.
