Zuwara Security Directorate tracks illegal immigrants’ locations

Zuwara Security Directorate detained 267 illegal immigrants, including women, from African and Arab nationalities in two separate operations in the city.

The Directorate said, on its Facebook page, the first operation was for raiding a house in the city in which 185 immigrants were found, including 24 women, most of them pregnant, adding that it will proceed to investigate with them immediately after completion of the procedures and transfer them to the relevant authorities.

The second operation targeted another house, were 84 illegal migrants from Pakistani, Moroccan and some African nationalities were preparing to migrate across the sea late on Sunday.

Coast Guard patrols rescued more than 150 illegal immigrants, Saturday, off the coasts of Zuwara and Garabulli.
