Banks in Sirte start distributing cash to citizens

Commercial banks in Sirte Municipality began on Saturday distributing cash liquidity with a withdrawal ceiling ranging from 500 dinars to 900 dinars.

Sirte Municipal Council spokesperson, Mohamed Al-Amil said in a statement to ArraedLG that the total financial shipment that reached the banks of Sirte amounted to 24 million dinars from the Central Bank of Libya.

Sirte banks have been short of cash for more than four months, because of the lack airline available for commercial bank allocations.
