GNA Health Ministry provides medicines for health sector in southern region

The head of the crisis committee in the Government of National Accord (GNA) Health Ministry in Fawzi Onis said on Monday the crisis committee in the health sector of the southern region distributed quantities of medicines provided by the Ministry of Health.

Onis said in a statement to ArraedLG, the crisis committee was formed to overcome the difficulties faced by hospitals in the southern region, headed by the head of the Sabha Medical Center, and membership of hospitals from Ubari and Ghat in the south, adding that these hospitals called for urgent supplies.

Onis confirmed that the Ministry of Health has formed a tender committee, and has made a mandate to fill the deficit in those hospitals, pointing out that the hospitals in the south are suffering from a severe shortage of major drugs, and drugs against scorpion poisoning.

The Sabha Medical Center said the staff of the supply department of the Fezzan branch supervised the distribution of medicines, affirming their arrival to all regions of the South, Jufra and Shuwairf.
