Paris hosts “International Conference on Libya” next Tuesday

The French embassy in Libya announced on Sunday that the International Conference on Libya will be held next Tuesday at the Elysee Palace in Paris, under the auspices of the United Nations.

French President Emmanuel Macaron will host representatives of the Libyan government and a delegation of political actors representing the main institutions in Libya to call for a comprehensive political road map to break the crisis that has affected Libya and the region for several years, according to the embassy.

The embassy said the conference aims to start a new phase of stability and cooperation among the Libyan people and is in line with the efforts of the international community and the United Nations since 2011.

the international conference called by Paris aims to prepare for holding elections before the end of 2018.
