The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) expressed on Saturday great concern at the escalation of violence in the city of Sabha, which resulted in civilian casualties.
On its official page, the mission called on the conflicting parties to exercise restraint, to raise the voice of reason and to resume dialogue, calling on all parties to fulfill their duty to protect the lives and property of civilians under international humanitarian law.
Sabha witnessed the most violent clashes at dawn on Saturday, leaving behind four dead and more than 12 wounded, most of whom in critical condition.
