HOR speaker says formation of National Unity Government will happen “soon”

The speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Aqila Saleh said he expects to form a government of national unity in the country at the end of this year, describing his visit to Morocco as “successful.”

According to Anadoul news agency, Aqila said in a statement to the press on Tuesday at Rabat airport, he was leaving Morocco after asking Moroccan authorities to urge the Libyan parties and UN special envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame to “speed up the solution needed to amend the political agreement,” expecting most of the differences to be resolved by the end of this year.

On Tuesday, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Salih invited the High Council of State president, Khaled Al-Mashri to meet in Tobruk after their last meeting in Rabat, Morocco.
