GNA foreign minister invites EU foreign affairs representative to visit Tripoli

The Foreign Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Al-Sayala invited Foreign Policy Representative of the European Union, Federica Mogherini to visit Tripoli as soon as possible.

During a meeting held on the sidelines of the 29th Arab Summit in the Saudi city of Dhahran, the two sides discussed means of developing joint cooperation in the building of the coast guard and Libyan security services capacity and the economic empowerment of youth and women in Libya.

The European Union has provided assistance to Libya in the fields of security and training of the Libyan Coast Guard in agreements signed between the two sides.
