Hyundai explores West of Tripoli station in preparation for return

The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) reported that the technical team of Hyundai Corporation, the West Tripoli Station project contractor, has completed inspection procedures at the station, in preparation for its return to complete the project.

GECOL media director, Mohamed Al-Takouri said in a statement to ArraedLG on Wednesday, the Korean team visited the site of the Zuiteina station project for a week; to evaluate and inspect the equipment of the station in preparation for resumption of work in the power plant.

The Libyan authorities contracted in 2010 the Korean company Hyundai to build the West of Tripoli Station project, capacity of 1400 MW, but the project was halted because of the security conditions in the capital.
