Russia: Dismantling of Libya led to the growth of terrorism

Russian Defense Minister, Sergey Shoygu said on Wednesday the “dismantling” of Libya has led to the growth of “terrorism” on the African continent, and increased the threat, especially in the north of the continent.

Shoygu added in a statement to the Russian news agency Sputnik, the growing “terrorism” in Africa affects negatively on security and complicates the situation in the region in general.

Russia has shown readiness on more than one occasion to contribute to the strengthening of the political process in Libya through contacts with various Libyan parties.
