GNA Forein Minister discusses with US counterpart developments in Libya

The Government of National Accord (GNA) Foreign Minister, Mohamed Al-Sayala discussed with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson developments in Libya and the steps needed to prepare for the referendum on the constitution draft.

The Foreign Ministry media office said in a statement on Wednesday, Al-Sayala discussed with his American counterpart preparations for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya, and the latest developments in the amendment of the Political Agreement.

Al-Sayala discussed, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the International Alliance Against IS in Kuwait, the latest arrangements on signing a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Libya this month on the prohibition of the sale of stolen cultural artifacts from Libya in the United States.

Libya is taking part in the Ministerial Meeting of the International Alliance Against IS in Kuwait with 69 other countries like the United States, Britain, France, Turkey and some Arab countries.
