The National High Elections Commission (HNEC) announced the total number of voters registered to vote reached 2.363.609 voters, of which, one million are women.
The HNEC media office told ArraedLG on Tuesday, women participation rate of in the registration for the upcoming election surpassed 41%, which is an achievement for the Commission, noting they worked to increase the participation of women by creating a support unit for women and setting up workshops and seminars aimed at growing female involvement.
The HNEC announced on its website the number of registered abroad has so far reached 1.852 voters.
The Elections Commission extended the registration period inside Libya until February 15.
