GECOL announces 3 units at Khoms power station out of service

The General Electric Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Monday, that two gas units and a steam unit went out of service at Khoms power plant.

The company explained on its official Facebook page that the event caused the loss of 500 megawatts of what the plant produces.

The GECOL attributed the suspension of production at Khoms plant to the inability of two steamships loaded with light and heavy fuel from docking at Khoms port of five; due to bad weather.
