Al-Shakshak: Tribal elders mediate implementation of Tawergha return agreement

The head of Tawergha local council, Abdul Rahman Al-Shakshak said on Monday, ongoing meetings are being held in Misurata to reach a settlement to determine the date for the return of Tawergha displaced residents to their city.

Al-Shakshak told ArraedLG, the dignitaries of some tribes met on Sunday in Misurata to resolve the issue of the return of the people of Tawergha to their city, adding that “the results of the meetings are not yet clear.”

The head of Tawergha local council denied their meeting with the Misurata Committee, these days, explaining that the meetings that took place were held by internal parties in Misurata.

The people of Tawergha have been stationed since February 1 in the area of ​​Qarara Al-Qataf in Bani Walid after the agreement to return to Tawergha could not be implemented.
