Russian Embassy announces its return to Tripoli

The Russian Embassy in Libya announced its readiness to resume work from Tripoli in the coming future.

Libya’s ambassador to Libya, Ivan Molotkov, confirmed that the Russian embassy would resume its activities in Tripoli when security conditions permit, the Libyan news agency reported.

In December, Foreign Minister Mohamed Al-Sayala’s asked Russia to resume the work of its embassy in Tripoli.

The staff of the Russian embassy in Libya moved from Tripoli to Tunisia in 2014 after the deteriorating security conditions.
