Al-Ittihad beats Niger’s Sahel 1-0 at CAF

Al Ittihad managed to get a tough win 1-0 against Niger’s Olympique Sahel in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.

The game held on Saturday at Al-Tayeb Al-Mahiri Stadium in Sfax, Tunisia, was goalless till the final minutes, before Mouad Essa snatched the winner in the 90th minute.

The two teams will play the second leg match on February 21 in Niamey, Niger. A tie will secure the qualification for the 32 round for Al-Ittihad.
