A joint patrol by the Sirte Security and Protection Force and the Central Support Force arrested, on Wednesday a trafficking ring in Al-Qadahiya area, southwest of Sirte.
The Sirte Security and Protection Force media office said that the arrest was made after videos widely circulated on social media showed scenes of torture against some migrants.
It added that the eight migrants tortured by the gang were being treated at Ibn Sina hospital.
In recent days, videos showing scenes of torture of African migrants went viral on social media.
