Jibril: Over two million voters in the system of the HNEC is “confusing”

The head of the National Forces Alliance (NFA), Mahmoud Jibril, questioned the validity of the number of voters in the High National Elections Commission’s (HNEC) registry.

In an interview with a local TV, on Saturday, Jibril expressed his surprise at voter’s numbers reaching more than 2 million eligible voters, describing it as “puzzling.” He pointed out that urging people to register in the electoral system should be on “sound basis,” calling on the head of the Civil Status Department to be precise.

The HNEC announced the 6th of February as the last day of voter registration, and it will open the registration system abroad in early February, as well.
