Salama: We will double our efforts to stabilize Libya in 2018

UN special envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame said he will double his efforts to move Libya from a state of “turbulence to certainty” in 2018.

Salame said in a statement published on the official page of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) on Thursday, that he hoped the institutions in Libya would become permanent and effective institutions, hoping for the growth and prosperity of the middle class after its impoverishment.

On Wednesday, Ghassan Salame met with Niger President Mahamadou Issoufou to discuss the security situation and the political process in Libya.
