On Wednesday the Commander of the Presidential Guard, Major General Najmi Al-Nakou, discussed with Russian officials ways to support the Presidential Guard via training and providing the necessary preparations.
Nakou also discussed the activation of the agreement signed with Russia and lifting the arms embargo on the Presidential Guard. He added that Russia agreed upon raising the level of cooperation between both sides and that they will be forming committees to implement what the parties agreed upon during the discussions.
During a meeting with Mohammed Sayala, the Foreign Minister for the Government of National Accord, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said that Russia is ready to discuss easing the arms embargo imposed on Libya.
