Fayez Al-Sarraj to meet Donald Trump on Friday

    The White House announced that US President Donald Trump will meet President of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj on Friday.

    The White House press secretary released a statement on Wednesday stating that the meeting would discuss efforts for political reconciliation led by the United Nations within the framework of the Libyan political agreement, and ways of cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

    In its statement the White House also noted US support for the Government of National Accord and its commitment to helping the Libyan people achieve a stable future.
